Review loans and product samples

We welcome proposals from camera and lens manufacturers, accessory brands, retailers and their PR teams. Cameras, lenses, bags, tripods and lighting are all relevant to our buying guides. Tell us which photography problem your product solves and who it is designed for.

A loan can be useful when a buying decision depends on something specifications cannot settle, such as how a bag carries a full kit or how a tripod handles in the field. We agree on the scope and timing before accepting equipment. Sending a product does not guarantee a review, inclusion in a guide or a positive recommendation.

Please include:

  • The exact product name and a link to its specifications.
  • Whether you are offering a review loan or a sample we can keep.
  • Availability, relevant camera mounts and the markets where it is sold.
  • Proposed loan dates, any embargo and return arrangements.
  • Your name, company and role.

Contact us before shipping anything. We will confirm the delivery address and agree on shipping costs, insurance and any customs charges. Please do not send unsolicited equipment to the address in our legal notice.

Brand partnerships

We are open to discussing clearly labelled sponsored content and advertising relevant to photographers. Send a short proposal with the product, intended format, budget and timing. We will assess whether it fits the site before agreeing to any work.

Paid placements are separate from our independent buying recommendations. We do not sell rankings, guaranteed recommendations or undisclosed paid links. We will not present a sponsor’s claims as our own testing.

Editorial independence

When coverage involves a loan, a gifted product or payment, we disclose that relationship. Brands can flag factual errors, but they do not get approval over our conclusions. We decide what to publish and distinguish hands-on findings from research based on published sources.

Read our editorial policy and affiliate disclosure for how we handle recommendations and commercial relationships.

Questions and corrections

Readers are welcome to get in touch too. For a correction, send the guide URL, the statement concerned and a source we can check. For a gear question, include your camera model, budget, country and what you photograph.

Use a subject line such as “Review loan: product name”, “Partnership: company name” or “Correction: guide title” so we can route your message.
